Paul Antony Larner

A Horncastle man has been fined and handed a suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to harassing a woman last year.

Paul Antony Larner, 54, of West Street, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on February 19.

He faced a charge of harassing a woman by sending her texts, Whatsapp messages, emails and letters between July 11 and October 18, 2020.

Larner was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months due to the serious nature of the offence committed.

He was also handed a restraining order permitting him from contacting the woman for five years and ordered to pay a £128 surcharge to fund victim services.

Liam William Smith

A Woodhall Spa man has been fined and disqualified from driving after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

Liam William Smith, 39, of Witham Road, committed the offence on Sleaford Road, Tattershall, on January 14 of this year.

Smith was found to have 52 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

Smith pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court via video link on February 22.

Smith was fined £250 and ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.

Smith was disqualified from driving for 14 months, although this can be reduced by a period of 14 weeks if he completes a course.

Darrell George Short

A Burgh le Marsh man has been fined and disqualified from driving after pleading guilty to drink-driving in Baumber.

Darrell George Short, 49, of Barnack Estate, committed the offence on Lincoln Road, Baumber, on January 22 of this year.

Short was found to have 56 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

Short pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on February 23.

Short was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, plus a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.

Short was disqualified from driving for 15 months, although this can be reduced by a period of 15 weeks if he completes a course.

Nicky Lancaster

A Tetford man has been handed a restraining order after assaulting a woman in May last year.

Nicky Lancaster, 46, of Salmonby Road, previously entered a not guilty plea on January 8 of this year.

Lancaster appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on February 25 where he was found guilty of the offence which took place on May 19,2020.

Lancaster was fined £200 and ordered to pay £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service, plus a £90 surcharge to fund victim services.

Ben Luke Rhodes

A Horncastle man has been ordered to pay more than £2,000 in compensation after stealing a hydraulic breaker.

Ben Luke Rhodes, 32, of North Street, indicated a guilty plea when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 2.

Rhodes was ordered to pay £2,760 after he stole a hydraulic breaker, of the same value, from Sewage Works in Washingborough Road, Lincoln, on December 24, 2020.

Billy Dunn

A Coningsby man has been fined and banned from driving after pleading guilty to a number of motoring and drug-related offences.

Billy Dunn, 28, of White Swan Close, pleaded guilty to five separate offences when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 4.

On June 2, 2020, at Bury St. Edmunds, Dunn was found to have 1.88 grammes of cannabis in his possession and the drugs were forfeited.

There was no separate penalty for this incident and his guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.

On the same day, Dunn drove a vehicle which had no insurance and he did not have a driving license.

There was no separate penalty for this incident and Dunn’s driving record was endorsed with points.

On the same day, Dunn was found to have 5.1 ug/L of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood, which exceeded the specified limit.

There was no separate penalty for this incident and Dunn’s driving record was endorsed with points.

Dunn also had 72 ug/L of Benzoylecgonine in his blood, which exceeded the specified limit.

Dunn was fined £375 and ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, plus a £37 surcharge to fund victim services.

Dunn was also banned from driving for 16 months.

Paula Martin

A Horncastle woman has been fined and had her driving license endorsed with six points after she drove a car without insurance on August 30 last year.

Paula Martin, 30, of Churchill Avenue , was found guilty through the ‘Single Justice Procedure’ at Boston 
Magistrates’ Court on March 11. The defendant did not attend the court hearing.

Martin was fined £169 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.

Michael Baxter

A Horncastle man has been fined and banned from driving after pleading guilty to drug-driving and being in possession of drugs.

Michael Baxter, 46, of Roman Way, pleaded guilty to four separate offences when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 11.

On May 16, 2020, Baxter drove a vehicle in Heighington Road, Canwick.

Baxter was found to have 121 microgrammes of Benzoylecgonine in his blood, which exceeded the specified limit.

There was no separate penalty for this offence.

On the same day, Baxter was found to have 388 microgrammes of ketamine in his blood, which exceeded the specified limit.

There was no separate penalty for this offence.

On the same day, Baxter was found to have 18 microgrammes of methylenedioxymethamphetamine in his blood, which exceeded the specified limit.

There was no separate penalty for this offence.

On the same day, Baxter was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine.

The drugs were seized and Baxter was fined £40.

Baxter was ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.

Baxter was also disqualified from driving for 20 months.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account by the court when sentencing.

A separate offence alleging that Baxter had 0.11g of diamorphine in his possession on May 16, 2020, was withdrawn in court.

Barry Lee Perrin

A Horncastle man has been cleared of assaulting a police officer last May.

Barry Lee Perrin, 30, of Centurian Park, was accused of assaulting PC John Biggs by beating him on May 12, 2020.

Perrin entered not guilty pleas to both offences and was found not guilty 
after appearing before Boston Magistrates on March 12.

Perrin was also found not guilty of a second charge that on June 12, 2020 he used words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress .

Luke Stubbings

A Spalding man has been fined after pleading guilty to two offences which took place in Boston and Horncastle last year.

Luke Stubbings appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 13 where he pleaded guilty to both charges against him.

Stubbings was charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them in an offence which took place in Boston on May 26 last year.

Stubbings was fined £200 and was ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account by the court when sentencing.

Stubbings was also charged with causing damage to a mobile phone and picture frame belonging to a woman.

The offence took place in Horncastle on September 29 last year.

Stubbings was ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Darren Hannah

A Woodhall Spa man has been fined and banned from driving after pleading guilty to drug-driving.

Darren Alexander Hannah, 49, of Alexander Terrace appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 15 where he pleaded guilty to the offence which took place in Gainsborough on August 30 last year.

Hannah was found to have 147 microgrammes of benzoylecgonine in his blood, which exceeded the specified limit.

Hannah was charged £300 and was ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.

Hannah was disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Peter Chapman

A Spalding man has denied making abusive remarks towards Horncastle Town manager Allan Ross.

Mr Ross was watching a match in Spalding when the alleged incident took place.

Peter Chapman, 65, is charged with racially aggravated threatening, abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a 
person, likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, on October 31 last year.

Chapman, of Chapel Lane, Spalding, represented himself at Boston Magistrates’ Court on March 16.

Chapman entered a plea of not guilty.

Magistrates granted Chapman unconditional bail to stand trial at the court on November 12.

Mr Ross was watching his former side Pinchbeck United play Lutterworth Town on the day of the alleged offence.

Brandon Fields

A Coningsby man has been fined and had his driving license endorsed with six points after he drove a car without insurance in Boston on February 16 this year.

Brandon Fields, 21, of Orchard Way, entered a guilty plea when he appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on March 16.

Fields was found £288 and was ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account by the court when sentencing.

Billy Davidson

A Horncastle man has been fined after pleading guilty to several offences which took place in Horncastle last year.

Billy Davidson, 23, of Jobson Road, entered a guilty plea when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on March 18.

Davidson was charged with using or threatening unlawful violence towards another person which caused them to fear for their personal safety in an incident which occurred in Horncastle on May 13, 2020.

Davidson was fined £1083 and ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £108 surcharge to fund victim services.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account by the court when sentencing.

Davidson was also charged with sending text messages which were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character between May 6 and May 15, 2020.

Davidson was fined £433 and ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
