Did you see teenagers trying car doors in Gainsborough?

Lincolnshire Police are trying to trace down two teenagers in connection with an incident involving car doors being tried.

The police are investigating reports of two youths who were seen to try a number of car doors on Queensfield in Gainsborough.

The first is described as being a white man, approximately 5ft 8, aged 14 to 16-years-old with short hair wearing a grey hoody, blue jeans and grey trainers with white soles.

The second is a white man whose head/face was covered but wearing a dark jacket with grey collar, dark blue jeans which had white markings below the rear pockets.

The two teenagers were seen between 5am and 6am on Tuesday, July 14.

The police would like to hear from anyone who has any information that could assist the enquiry.

Police are reminding people to ensure their vehicles are locked. Other advice to prevent theft from your vehicle include Removing your valuables, even bags, jackets, cases and toys have a value to thief. A jacket could contain cash or cigarettes that may encourage them.

Lock them away in your boot but only if you cannot access the boot from the rear seats and you cannot unlock the boot from a switch in the cabin and remove electronics such as sat-navs.
