Elliott has won an army of fans after a string of impresssive live performances all over the country.

Now, he’s hoping those very same fans will agree to back him in his dream of recording his first album.

He said: “I’ve wanted to do this for a long, long time.

“I aimed to get into the studio at the start of the year, but the gigs have just kept coming!”

A hectic 2016 started with a Celtic Connections spot in Glasgow (where previously Elliott was a Danny Kyle award winner), followed by a support slot to American singer Aoife O’Donovan at her UK album launch in London.

He then hit the road with Canadian roots rockers the Bros Landreth, supporting them on their debut UK tour.

Other notable shows have included opening for Cara Dillon, headline dates at The Troubadour in London and, most recently, sharing a bill with Badly Drawn Boy at Barking Folk Festival.

Elliott, who averages more than 120 live shows a year, added: “Crowdfunding means that people I’ve played to along the road so far can directly become involved in the creation of my first album.

“I have played these songs up and down the country in pubs, folk clubs and concert halls, and met many great music fans along the way.

“It only seems natural to include them in the next step!”

Elliott, described by Acoustic Magazine as ‘the next big thing’, has previously completed two UK tours supporting Paul Carrack (Squeeze, Mike & The Mechanics, Ace, Eric Clapton), at 53 venues across the UK, including the London Palladium.

Other support highlights include Seth Lakeman, Eddi Reader, Lau, The Levellers, Big Country and Frank Turner.

He will be utilising ‘PledgeMusic’- a direct-to-fan music platform - to raise the funds.

Elliott explained: “Using PledgeMusic lets me offer my audience far more than if I were to release by myself through a label. “

There are a range of benefits for anyone who backs Elliott, including the chance of him performing a house concert in your own front room!

Once he hits his funding target, 10% of any extra Pledge money will go to mental health charity C.A.L.M.

Vsend exclusive updates from the studio directly to Pledgers.”

“But with the direct support of my audience, I can afford to include some wonderful

guest musicians on the album. These include Lisbee Stainton on a duo track, Alan

Thomson who played fretless bass in The John Martyn Band, and Jack Carrack, son

of Paul Carrack and drummer in his band! I also have an incredible artist lined up to

design the cover, and a fantastic producer. But I’m keeping them under my hat for

now. Pledgers will of course find out more before anyone else!”

Other benefits on offer to Pledgers include exclusive Harris Tweed guitar straps, a
