The club awarded the fourth award to the volunteering team at EALL (Entertaining Activities Lincolnshire Limited), a local day centre for people with learning difficulties and those with mental health issues. The day centre is based at Louth Town Hall, and is open from Monday to Friday.

Helen Landshoft, who submitted the nomination in praise of her team of volunteers, explained: “We do cooking, crafts, pottery, baking, days out and holidays.”

“They have video-called daily to ensure the students know we are still thinking of them and that all is good, keeping their spirits high.

“Some staff have worked to support students in the community. Others have visited at a safe distance to support students with their mental health.

“This award would be a way to show the appreciation from the students, their parents and myself for all their hard work and dedication during a very difficult time, it has been hard enough for people without disabilities.”

As reported, the other award winners were 12-year-old Eloise Hopkinson, The Priory Hotel owner Paul Hugill, and Louth Run For Life chairman Simon West.
