Salons will be working to strict protocols, which clients will have been made aware of when booking - if you were lucky enough to get an appointment.

Pubs and cafes can only serve outside of course.

Of course, Horncastle’s high street has never been fully closed, as essential providers - such as food, medicine and pet supplies - have remained open throughout.

The next important date on the government’s reopening roadmap is May 17, when socialising indoors under the rule of six will be allowed st hospitality venues.

However, this will only happen if the data shows the vaccination programme is being successful and cases remain low.
