Free breakfast club coming to Friskney Primary after Easter
Families at Friskney Primary School are in for a treat after the Easter break, with the launch of a new breakfast club for pupils.
The Best Start in Life Free Breakfast Club will run every weekday morning for Reception to Year 6, offering children a simple, healthy breakfast of cereal or toast—completely free of charge.
The aim is to help families, promote healthy routines, and make sure every child starts the school day ready to learn.
Parents can expect:
- Morning childcare support
- A free breakfast before lessons start
- A calm, settled start to the day away from the busy playground
- Those already using the school’s breakfast provision will see little change—apart from the extra boost to their household budget.
A school spokesperson said: “We hope this initiative makes mornings easier for families and ensures all children begin the day feeling nourished, settled, and ready to ‘work hard, be kind, no excuses’. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to giving every pupil the best possible start.”
The breakfast club will run from from 7:45am to 8:30am. More details are on the school website: www.friskneyprimary.co.uk. Families with questions can call the school office on 01754 820324.
