An appeal issued last week led to next of kin coming forward and formal identification taking place, but police still need to know his local address in Boston.

Mr Spartarescu died from injuries sustained when his bike was involved in a collision with a Ford Silver Tourneo.

It happened at around 9.15pm on the Boardsides in Boston, close to the A17.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said today (Saturday): “This appeal is not about getting information for our investigation.

“We need to know where Mirel lived so we can enable family to deal with his possessions and progress with repatriation.

“If you knew Mirel, if you know where he lived, if you worked with him, please get in touch. You will not be required to give an interview or your details. We just want to know Mirel’s address so we can provide this vital information to his family.”

Mr Spartarescu is described as 5ft 6, very slim build, with grey hair. He had a missing left ring finger.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 426 of 31/12/2020 or email [email protected]

Police initially arrested two people from the Tourneo after the crash. A man, 30, has been released under investigation, and a woman was released with no further action.
