Most of the WGB team has been furloughed since Christmas, so seeing the warmer weather means the gardening team is back in action at Baumber too.

The Walled Garden will officially open on Tuesday, March 2, selling perennial plants, Yorkshire pots and a host of other garden delights, as well as their ‘super-duper’ compost.

The garden will also be open for people to enjoy.

The Potting Shed tea rooms will be closed in March, but hopefully will reopen in April following government guidelines and advice.

Events manager at WGB Niki Burné said: “I am in the process of planning some of our usual brilliant events in the hope that it will soon be safe enough to hold them, including live music in the garden.

“We cannot wait to see all our friends old and new and hopefully enjoy a nice safe 2021 season together. There are brighter days ahead.”

Walled Garden Baumber will be open from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Saturdays are reserved for weddings and special events, when they are allowed.
