Go back to the 40s for charity
You can step back in time to the 1940s over August bank holiday weekend thanks to a special fundraising event in Holton le Clay.
Jean Grosset will be hosting a 1940s day at Holton le Clay Cricket Club on Sunday August 27 from 11am until late, raising funds for The Royal Artillery Benevolent Fund and also for Andy’s Man Club, which supports mens mental health.During the event, there will be live music by 40s singer Miss Sarah Jayne, as well as performances from Lincolnshire Lindy Hop Club, and vintage cars and scooters on display.
Stalls by local businesses, face painting, and candy floss will also be available, with ice creams provided and a Best Dressed competition.
A flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is also scheduled, weather permitting.
An auction will also run, raising funds for these charities, with an evening disco and DJ set.
