The initiative is being spearheaded by Rasen Area Environment Group, with the help of local volunteers.
The project got under way last weekend, with the first plot of land to be sown being on the corner of Legsby Road and Willingham Road.
Other areas of focus for the project are at the entrance to John Street car park, on Gainsborough Road, near the leisure centre, and near Lady Frances Drive.
