Gridlock - but why were temporary lights still in place?
A Horncastle councillor is calling for an explanation about why the town centre was ‘choked’ with traffic earlier this week.
Coun Alan Lockwood said he understood why repairs had to be carried out at the main junction of the A158/A153 but could not ‘comprehend’ why temporary lights remained in place, leading to the delays. In an email to local county councillor Bill Aron, Coun Lockwood adds: “This photo shows the traffic congestion but not the level of subsequent fumes and pollution which are the result.”
