'He was deeply loved' – family launches appeal after tragic loss of Liam Harper, 18
A family facing the devastating loss of an 18-year-old loved one is appealing for support to help give him the farewell he deserves.
Callum Harper has launched a fundraising page to help cover funeral costs for his beloved brother Liam, who has sadly passed away following a long battle with mental health challenges and addiction.
The family has described Liam’s death as an unexpected and heartbreaking loss, leaving a huge hole in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Callum said the family is now trying to come to terms with their grief while also facing the financial pressure of arranging a funeral and burial.

The GoFundMe page, ‘Help Us Give Liam Harper the Farewell He Deserves’, has already raised more than £300 towards its £6,500 target.
The funds will help towards funeral expenses, burial costs and other arrangements to allow the family to give Liam the respectful goodbye they feel he deserves.
Writing on the fundraising page, Callum said: “Our family recently suffered the devastating and unexpected loss of my brother after a long battle with mental health challenges and addiction.
“Despite the difficulties he faced, he was deeply loved by his family and his loss has left a huge hole in our lives.
“This has come as a complete shock and while we are trying to process our grief, we are also facing the financial burden of arranging a funeral and giving him the respectful farewell he deserves.”
The family is asking anyone who is able to help to consider making a donation, however small, or sharing the appeal with others.
Callum added: “If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this page would be greatly appreciated.
“Thank you for your kindness, support and prayers. We will never forget the love shown to our family during this heartbreaking time.”
