"In recent times these donations has bought a blood dialysis machine, sensor monitors for dementia patients, weighing scales to avoid patients getting off wheelchairs plus other items for the hospital.

"Knowing that most stroke patients in this area are admitted to the specialist unit at Pilgrim Hospital donations funded the cost of I-Pads, one for each bed avoiding reams of paperwork.

"SHW has over the years attended many meetings around the county thus making our presence known to numerous medical organisations, and continue to have good contact with Healthwatch Lincolnshire."

SHW always welcomes new members to join the community group, either as a committee member or a named supporter.

Meetings are held at the Crown Hotel, in Drummond Road. The next meeting is on Thursday January 16, at 7pm.
