Historic alliance plans between Boston Borough Council and ELDC are agreed at second attempt
Historic moves to create an alliance between Boston Borough Council and East Lindsey District Council were agreed by Boston Borough Council last night.
An extraordinary meeting of the full council voted by 15 votes for 14 in favour of the alliance.
An amendment asking for a consultation period of seven months had earlier been defeated.
The strategic alliance is inteneded to save more than £15m over the nexxt ten years across both councils.
It is due to begin next month.
