Hundreds of pounds raised for Royal British Legion welfare fund in Spilsby

More than £300 has been presented to the welfare fund of the Spilsby and District branch of the Royal British Legion following a community effort in the town.

The sum was raised through two sales – one organised by customers of All Wrapped Up café, in Market Street, the other overseen by Joanne Herbert, who runs the Post Office in Total News, in The Terrace.

Both involved the sale of homemade knitted poppies.

At the café, visitors could also buy a number of other items donated to the fundraiser, such as puzzles and mugs.
