Hundreds of properties in Boston area affected by power cut

Hundreds of properties in the Boston area have been affected by a power cut this afternoon (Monday, May 25).

The issue was alerted to National Grid shortly after 4pm.

The energy company says its engineers are currently working to restore electricity supplies as quickly as possible, apologising for the disruption.

It expects the situation to be back to normal by 7pm, although for some the problem has already been fixed.
