In Pictures: Crowds enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend sun at Skegness beach

Families are making the most of the half term break in the sun – bringing a huge economic boost the the resort.

Many are dealing with the ongoing heatwave by jumping into the cool waves off Skegness Central Beach.

And with another day of warm sunshine planned – highs of 26C forecast – the beach is filling up fast again today (Monday, May 25).

Local photographer John Byford has been out and about capturing all the fun at the beach. He said: “It’s set to be a hot one today, so if you’re heading down to the beach, make sure the little ones have their sun hats on and plenty of sun cream. Stay safe, look out for each other, and most importantly – have a brilliant time!"
