The popular annual event began at Tower Gardens on Sunday, August 9, with stalls and inflatables fun.
Then at 1pm the spectacular parade hit the town as crowds of people lined the streets.
This year’s theme was ‘Lincolnshire’ – and participants certainly didn’t disappoint with an array of impressive floats and participants in costume.
From those representing the county’s war-time history and coastal heritage – to farming communities and local organisations – there was a feast of visual delights for those that turned out to watch it.
A spokesperson for the carnival committee said: “The parade went really well, with over 40 entries taking part and everyone clearly enjoying themselves. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, which was glorious, and Tower Gardens was busy throughout the day with a fantastic atmosphere.
“It was lovely to see so many people coming out to support the parade and enjoy everything the carnival had to offer.”
The Carnival fun continues today (Monday) and on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 11-12, with more family-friendly events taking place at Tower Gardens, including competitions, displays, stalls and activities.
