In Pictures: GO Festival brings comedy capers and "magic" to Market Rasen

Colour, creativity and a sense of magic was brought to Market Rasen on Friday, June 5, as part of the GO Festival.

Family-friendly entertainment in the Market Place included the spectacular ‘Birdcage Stage’ with Cartoon Capers – offering a mix of aerial circus, physical comedy and visual theatre inside a giant golden birdcage.

Youngsters were also able to take part in creative workshops and fun activities, including popping big bubbles made by a ‘fairy’ from Quirky Cirque.

Coun Stephen Bunney, who represents the Market Rasen area, attended the event alongside the Chairman of West Lindsey District Council, Coun Matt Boles. He said: “It was great to see Market Rasen hosting GO Festival and welcoming so many families into the town centre.

“The event created a brilliant atmosphere and offered something a little different for residents and visitors alike. It was especially encouraging to see people staying engaged and enjoying themselves in the unexpectedly fine weather.”
