The free festival – Lightwaves: Lumens of the Lost – offered a spectacular celebration of light, creativity and storytelling.
More than 1,500 people have attended the first two Lightwaves events held in Spilsby and Chapel St Leonards.
The festival invites residents and visitors to discover the hidden stories of the area through illuminated artwork, music, poetry and performance.
Councillor Graham Marsh, East Lindsey District Council’s (ELDC) representative on the Story Tellers NPO Culture Board, said: “Lightwaves: Lumens of the Lost has been a fantastic addition to Chapel St Leonards, unlocking creativity, colour and brings a real vibrancy to the village. It was wonderful to see residents and visitors come together to experience the illuminated artwork, music, poetry and storytelling, while discovering more about the heritage and stories of our local area.
“Events like Lightwaves demonstrate the powerful role that arts and culture make to our communities, creating opportunities for people to come together, attracting visitors and showcasing what makes East Lindsey such a special place.”
The festival continues with Lightwaves: Lumens of the Lost in Sandilands on Saturday, 17 October, before culminating in a finale at Sutton on Sea on Saturday,
24 October.
A spokesperson for ELDC added: “With strong attendance at the opening events, Lightwaves is helping bring cultural experiences into the heart of local communities, showcasing the area in a new light and offering residents and visitors another reason to explore East Lindsey this October.
