Trustees of Jubilee Park in Woodhall Spa - who have seen the lockdown stop all income streams - are asking their friends and supporters to become members of the park’s 100 club.

Tickets are £10 each - half going to Jubilee Park and the other half in monthly prizes of between £10 and £50.

There’s no limit to the number of 100 club tickets that can be purchased by an individual. Trustee Jon Finley said: “Every penny helps us to survive what is going to be another difficult year,

“We’re maintaining the pool and fitness suite ready to open as soon as the government allows, but we expect there to be restrictions on numbers, at least to begin with, so we’re looking at other ways of supplementing our income until we can trade normally again.”

During lockdown , walkers have made the park part of their daily exercise and children used the popular play area.

Mr Finley added: ”We’re delighted to see the park so well used but would really welcome donations in the collecting boxes that are in there.

“Although closed, like other businesses, we have overheads to meet and sadly voluntary donations in the boxes have dropped to a few pence per month.

“It is entirely due to our amazing volunteers that we have been able to keep Jubilee Park’s grounds as smart as they are.”

The park has continued to receive enquiries about membership of its fitness suite. Membership covers the use of the outdoor heated pool.

•To join the 100 Club, send an email to Patricia Duke-Cox, lottery promoter, at [email protected] or message her on 07944 487880 and say how many tickets are wanted.

To pay by cash or cheque, place in an envelope and post through the door of the park office.
