Knitted kindness! Handmade characters to comfort children at Skegness Police
Kind-hearted crafters have been praised after donating a collection of handmade knitted characters to help comfort children in distress.
Officers at Skegness Police said they were “delighted” to receive the thoughtful gifts from a local knitting group.
The colourful creations have been sent to the station to be used when supporting young people involved in incidents, helping to ease anxiety and provide reassurance during difficult moments.
Officers shared their thanks on social media, describing the donation as a touching example of community spirit in Lincolnshire.

A spokesperson said the knitted characters would help bring comfort to children at what can often be a frightening time.
The gesture has been warmly received by the team, who highlighted the kindness and generosity of local residents.
