According to Facebook, included in those that are opening are: Kennedys, High Street Discounts, Good for Books, Sweet Treats, Old Stables Studios, Winter Sun, Second Chance, Grace’s Boutique, Magpies, Sewn up by Debs, Thriftys, Robinsons and Fletcher and Hughes.

Other businesses are being added to the list throughout today.

Some retailers will, of course, be able to remain open throughout the lockdown period.

Others are offering an online service or click and collect/home deliveries.

Takeaways can remain open but pubs, restaurants and hairdressers are among those which must close.

It’s a blow for several businesses who were recovering from the first lockdown.

All businesses will be hoping the lockdown finishes on December 2 so they can bounce back in the build up to Christmas.
