Liam’s brother Jake Addison - who co-founded the Louth-based ‘Brews Bros’ e-liquid company with Liam three years ago - posted a heartfelt tribute on social media following the tragedy, saying: “Not a single person understood me like my brother did.

“I’d trade places with him if I could, because he’s the one that’s held me together for all these years and now I have to do it without him.

“I never got the chance to rinse him as his best man at his wedding, and he won’t get the chance to rinse me at mine, for being mine twice.

“My kids won’t ever know him like I did, he will just be a story to them and that kills me inside.”

Jake, 26, later added: “Sleep easy, my brother. A large part of me is gone now you are.

“What ever I do in life I will do it to the fullest for you.”

“I love you, more than I ever said and as much you knew I did. But I know now I’ve somehow got to fill your shoes.”

Liam’s sister, Codi, added: “This is not something I never thought I’d have to put online or even say out loud, and I can’t really believe I now am.

“I’m heartbroken, devastated, hoping it’s all a joke and loads of other feelings I can’t wrap my head around to write down.

“Anyone that knows Liam knows he is and was the most generous, caring, protective, funniest and spiciest guy you’d ever have the pleasure of meeting.

“I know I can speak on behalf of me and Jake in saying he is the best brother and best friend we could have had and more, and he was going to be the best husband, dad, uncle in years to come, so losing him in any way, but especially this suddenly, feels irreparable.

“I’m baffled how the earth is still spinning without him.”

Dozens of other tributes have been posted by Liam’s friends and acquaintances, in addition to a fundraising page to raise money to support Liam’s family.
