The Magna Vitae Trust, which runs ELDC’s fitness facilities in Louth, Mablethorpe, Horncastle and Skegness, said they were “totally committed” to reducing the risk of Covid-19 (coronavirus).

A Magna Vitae spokesman said: “The safety of our customers, members, staff members and the wider community is of utmost importance to us and will always remain our priority.

“There is no requirement to cancel your current membership. All direct debit memberships will be automatically frozen from Saturday (March 21) for the length of the closure period.

“Whilst it breaks our hearts that we must close, we’re firm believers in pulling together as one to face the challenge head on, and we know as a member of the Magna Vitae team you are with us on this.”

The Trust also thanked its staff “who have been working tirelessly on the front line as this challenging situation has evolved over the last few weeks.”

While the leisure facilities are closed, the Trust will be launching a new project with a company called TV.Fit which specialises in workouts based in the home. Further details have yet to be released on how it will work.
