Man arrested after boy, 12, is seriously injured in Caistor collision

A 27-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of causing injury through dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene, following an incident in Caistor yesterday evening (Wednesday.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed the arrest shortly before 2pm today, following the incident which left a 12-year-old boy with potentially life-changing injuries.

Earlier today, a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said the boy was struck by a vehicle while crossing Grimsby Road, Caistor, at around 9.50pm last night.

It is alleged that the vehicle involved in the collision did not stop at the scene.
