Man due in court after fatal collision on Christmas Day

A 31-year-old man is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court after being charged with causing death by dangerous driving, and also causing serious injury by dangerous driving, following a road traffic collision in North Cockerington on Christmas Day last year.

Matthew Topham, 31, of Eagle Road in Swinderby, near Lincoln, is accused of causing the death of Mary Jane Regler, and causing serious injury to Rodney Leslie Regler, as a result of dangerous driving on Louth Road, North Cockerington, on December 25 last year.

The case was previously listed for September 17 but, like many other current magistrates’ court cases, it was adjourned.

The new court date has been listed as Thursday October 15.
