New scarecrow festival continues to be a hit with village residents
The Sutton on Sea Scarecrow Festival is continuing throughout August, with dozens of households getting involved with the community spirit.
As reported in last week’s Leader, the festival was set up by the Sutton on Sea Residents’ Association to make up for this year’s Furlongs Festival, which had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The festival was officially opened by town crier David Summers on August 1, and will continue through the month.
