As reported in last week’s paper, Nigel Limb is an ambassador for the Trust, which offers charitable support for people living with visual impairment, loss of sight, hearing impairment, hearing loss, or other disabilities.

The money raised by Nigel - which has already topped £130 - will be used to fund a mobile unit, allowing the Trust to help more people.

Nigel lost most of his sight in a motorcycle racing accident in 2015 which left him fighting for his life – but this setback has not prevented him from living life to the full, and he often takes on daring challenges to show that people with sight loss can achieve amazing things.

Last Sunday (September 6), at the Melbourne Raceway near York, Nigel rode the Suzuki EFE 1229cc dragster bike at high speeds - and he has since revealed that he “still has a smile on his face” several days after the event, adding it was “awesome” and “unreal” experience.
