'Now’s the time to celebrate amazing people': East Lindsey Community Ambassador Awards are back!

Unsung heroes who make East Lindsey a brilliant place to live, work and visit are to be celebrated with the return of the Community Ambassador Awards.

After last year’s hugely successful ceremony, where people from across East Lindsey were recognised for going above and beyond, the council is inviting nominations for this year’s awards. The ceremony will take place in March 2026, and nominations open 12 January for four weeks.

The awards cover a range of categories, including:

  • Town Pride Award
  • Lifetime Contribution Award
  • Outstanding Service Award
  • Best Community-Led Improvement Project Award
  • Rising Young Star Award

CounSarah Devereux, East Lindsey District Council Portfolio Holder for Partnerships, said: "Last year’s awards were an amazing celebration of the people who make East Lindsey so special.

"The response was incredible, and it was inspiring to see so many individuals and groups recognised for their hard work."

She added: "We’re thrilled to bring the awards back this year and encourage everyone to get involved by nominating those who make a real difference in our communities.

"There are so many people going above and beyond – now’s the time to celebrate them!"

Residents can submit their nominations online at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/communityawards before February 9. Details of the awards ceremony will follow on the council’s website and social media channels.
