Outdoor ‘pop up’ festival at Riverhead Theatre this weekend

In response to the pandemic, the team at Louth’s Riverhead Theatre has created an outdoor event where people can enjoy live entertainment whilst in a safe environment out in the fresh air.

The events taking place at the two-day event this weekend include the following:

On both days, the Fish Parade will involve the Lincolnshire One Venue Participation team, who have held workshops to make items for a pavement parade, and will parade over to the Navigation warehouse for a performance and some crafting and games.

The ‘Eggbox Theatre’ will also have a dome on Sunday September 13 for interactive stories in household bubbles throughout the day.

All tickets are pre-purchase only so that the organisers know exactly how many people they have on site, and they will be limiting numbers to enable safe practice. Each ticket booker will be allocated a ‘Picnic Pitch’. These are set out to be two metres away from anyone else.

There are smaller and larger picnic pitches depending on the size of your household or your relevant support bubble.

Because the organisers are limited to how many pitches they have available at the theatre premises, people are asked to purchase a minimum of four tickets for a picnic pitch.

The ticket price of £6 per adult and £3 per child is for one whole day. If both days are required, then a ticket will be required for each day.

To book your tickets, call the Riverhead Theatre Box Office on 01507 600350.

The Box Office will be open between 10am and 5pm (Monday - Friday), and payments will be made via card over the phone.
