Owner announces permanent closure of Horncastle coffee shop

A popular Horncastle business will not re-open to the general public, it can be revealed.

Jane Reed from the School House Coffee Bar made the announcement earlier this week.

In a statement posted on Facebook, owner Jane Reed said: “Due to the current situation I have decided to permanently close the School House Coffee Bar.

“I wish to thank all our lovely customers and my great staff for all their support.

“If you do have an unused gift voucher please message me so I can arrange a refund. Thank you.”

More than 150 people have expressed their sadness at the shock closure.

One said: “So sad, you are going to be greatly missed. We really enjoyed the wonderful food and atmosphere.”

Another said: “So sorry to read this. I have many happy memories of good times and delicious food at the School House shared with family, friends and former work colleagues. Thank you and take care.”

Another person wrote: “So sorry to hear this. Loved your food and coffee. Big loss to Horncastle. Best wishes to you all.”
