Peak performance for international trip
Local Explorer Scout Daniel Hayes successfully completed his sponsored climb on Saturday, which saw him scale the wall at The Showroom in Lincoln 293 times to reach the equivalent of the three peaks challenge - Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon.
As reported in last week’s News, the 16-year-old Explorer Scout is raising money for his trip to the Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland, for which he is just one of 20 young people selected to attend.
His next fundraiser is a cake sale at One Stop newsagents in Horncastle on Saturday, February 6, from 10am to 2pm, where there will be plenty of treats and a raffle.
