‘Perfect’ – Star Wars and Harry Potter actor on visit to Butlin’s, Skegness

Film and TV star Warwick Davis has given a glowing endorsement of Butlin’s, Skegness.

Writing to his 675,000-plus followers on Twitter, Davis, who lives near Peterborough, thanked Butlin’s for a ‘brilliant day of fun and entertainment’.

“Seeing the genius (America’s Got Talent winner and ventriloquist) Paul Zerdin perform on your fantastic outdoor stage was perfect too,” the Tenable host added.

Butlin’s, Skegness, re-opened from the coronavirus lockdown on July 24.

The outdoor stage was among the features added to the site as a result of the pandemic, with it designed to provide a space for entertainment while also meeting social distancing requirements.

Chris Baron, the resort director, said it offered a ‘festival atmosphere’, when he spoke to the Standard last month.

Since then, indoor, live entertainment has returned to Butlin’s, having re-started on August 17.
