Police confirm two collisions between Louth and Market Rasen

Lincolnshire Police confirmed that diversions are in place on the A631 following two separate road traffic collisions this morning (Monday).

As reported earlier today, part of the road between Louth and Market Rasen has been closed in both directions while emergency services attend the scene.

This afternoon, a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson confirmed: “(The first collision) is a report of two cars colliding on the A631.

“This was reported to us at 11.05am. Two people are injured and are being taken to hospital for treatment.

“Any witnesses are urged to call 101, with the incident number 124 of April 26.”

The police spokesperson later confirmed that a second collision - involving a motorcyclist coming off their bike - took place on the A631 near North Willingham.

This second incident was reported to the emergency services at 11.47am. If you witnessed this incident, call 101 and quote incident number 145 of April 26.

The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment, for injuries which are neither life-changing or life-threatening.
