£450 boost for peace garden project in Skegness

A cheque for £450 has been presented to Skegness Rotary Club towards their schools' peace garden project.

Deputy Mayor Coun Billy Brookes presents a cheque for £450 to Skegness Rotary Club member Coun Tony Tye.

The donation on behalf of Skegness Town Council was presented by Deputy Mayor Coun Billy Brookes to Coun Tony Tye, who is also a Rotarian.

Skegness Rotary Club appealed to the council to help them provide each local school with a peace area - a garden area where the child can sit, go dig a little, weed, or chill out before going back into the classroom.

The funding from Skegness Town Council will provide watering cans, trowels, plant pots and forks for this project.
