Rasen hosts County rededication Service

Market Rasen Mayor and Mayoress, Coun John and Mrs Jayne Matthews, greeted representatives of the Royal British Legion from across the County at Sunday's service of Rededication, held this year in St Thomas's church.

The Parade was led by the Resdev Market Rasen Band, which processed from the Festival Hall to the Market Place, where it was inspected by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for Lincolnshire, Toby Dennis, accompanied by RBL County President Simon Erskine Crum OBE.

The service was conducted by the town’s vicar the Rev Stephen Johnson, with the Address given by the RBL County Padre, the Rev Canon John Thorold.

Other dignitaries at the event included, the High Sheriff of Lincolnshire, Mrs Jill Hughes; the Chairman and Lady of Lincolnshire, Coun Willy and Mrs Jane Webb; and the Vice Chairman of WLDC, Coun Roger Patterson, and Mrs Nicky Patterson.

The President thanked everyone in Market Rasen who had helped with the organisation of the day and those who attended to support it.
