Rasen Rotarians support student leadership course
This year was the turn of Caistor Grammar School and Head of Year 10, Graham Dobson, led a team of teaching staff to elect Hatty Legget and Harry Strange to take part. They joined 32 other young people from across Rotary District 1270 and participated in activities to increase confidence, engender leadership skills, learn about themselves and to respect others.
Fired up with enthusiasm, Hattie and Harry gave a presentation, supported by a video diary they had made, recording all the activities, to the recent lunchtime meeting of Rasen Rotarians.
Following the presentation, three Rotarians and the students’ teacher were invited to follow instructions to create a seat without chairs, as the four adults built trust to support themselves, when their chairs were removed.
The session ended with Harry and Hattie thanking Rotary for sending them on the course and adding: “We hope the course will continue for many years to come, as it will have a huge, long-lasting influence on the lives of all participating.”
