The annual Easter Egg Run today (Sunday) saw riders travel from The Seaview Pub in Skegness to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, braving strong winds to deliver Easter eggs and donations to young patients.
The popular event, now a firm fixture in the local calendar, has been running for 30 years and sees dozens of riders take to the roads in convoy, many decorated for the occasion, as they make their way through the Lincolnshire countryside.
Many of the riders return year after year to support the cause and be part of the community effort.
Organisers say the run is all about giving back, helping to lift the spirits of children and families who are unable to spend the holiday at home.
Mark Dannatt, who runs the event and owns the Seaview Pub, said: “I’ve now done 23 of them.
"The hospital staff were pleased to see us and couldn’t thanks us enough for what we do.
“We stayed for photos and a chat.
“It was a good turnout with motorcycles, scooters and trikes.
“We had a great morning and I’d like to thank all of those who donated and turned up for this amazing event.”
The Easter Egg Run continues to grow in popularity, combining charitable giving with the strong sense of camaraderie within Lincolnshire’s scooter community.
