Savings boost on offer for inspiration youngster

An inspirational youngster in Lincolnshire will this summer receive a savings boost from a building society and estate agency with a branch in Skegness in recognition of being an outstanding role model.

Between now and July 31, The Nottingham want to hear about children up to the age of 18 who have demonstrated remarkable courage, outstanding achievement or have overcome extremely difficult challenges or situations.

A deserving winner from each of the counties in which The Nottingham has branches - Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire (Skegness has a branch is in Lumley Road), Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, South Yorkshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire - will be chosen and he or she will receive £100* to invest in a Robin Hood Young Saver Account to set them on the way to saving for a brighter future, as well as one of the Society’s Robin Hood money boxes.

Simon Taylor, The Nottingham’s chief operating officer, said: “There are lots of deserving young people across our communities demonstrating that they are inspirational role models or who have the courage to overcome very challenging odds on a daily basis, and as a mutual building society it very much fits within our ethos to recognise those individuals.

“Our Robin Hood Young Saver Account is really popular because it offers a fantastic rate and also, of course, the money boxes which young people absolutely love. So we thought what better way to say how proud we are of many of the youngsters across our towns and cities than to give them £100 and set them on the way to a brighter financial future and one day being able to invest what they have saved into something they truly deserve.”
