Shows planned to restart at Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre in December

Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre is making preparations to re-open its door and restart shows in December following the coronavirus pandemic.

Subject to government restrictions the centre in Trinity Street, Gainsborough, is planning to open in December to present its first shows since March.

The shows will be kicking off with Christmas with André Rieu at 3pm and 7pm on Saturday, December 5.

This Christmas concert exclusively captured for cinemas is the festive highlight of 2020 with a cast of hundreds, including The Johann Strauss Orchestra, Sopranos Donij van Doorn and Anna Majchrzak, the Platin Tenors, The Golden Voices of Gospel, and the magnificent Maastricht Dance and Ice Skate Company.

You will be able to watch musical duo, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, during the the final show of their UK tour at the O2 Arena.

Michael Ball and Alfie Boe: Back Together will be shown at 7pm on Saturday, December 12.

The superstar pair take on their favourite musical theatre, pop and rock tracks, including songs from The Lion King, The Greatest Showman and The Phantom of the Opera as well as a brilliantly arranged 'Queen Medley'. Showcasing their phenomenal voices and undeniable on-stage chemistry, Ball and Boe’s irresistible charm will undoubtedly light up the big screen.

And to finish off the year you will be able to see The Nutcracker – Bolshoi Ballet Event Cinema at 3pm on Sunday, December 20.

In this timeless story accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s beloved score, rising star Soloist Margarita Shrainer perfectly embodies Marie’s innocence and enchantment along with the supremely elegant Principal Dancer Semyon Chudin as The Nutcracker, captivating audiences of all ages and bringing them on an otherworldly journey.

Ticket prices for these shows are between £13 and £15.

Tickets will be available on a limited capacity, as Trinity Arts has been working hard to make all shows as Covid-secure as possible.
