Simply the Best’ Tina Turner tribute show heading to Skegness
Fans are being invited to “shake a tail feather” as an award-winning Tina Turner tribute show heads to the coast for a night of music, energy and nostalgia.
Justine Riddoch will take centre stage at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness with her acclaimed production Totally Tina – bringing the sound, style and spirit of the legendary Tina Turner to life.
Backed by a full live band and dancers in sequins, feathers and diamonds, the show promises a high-energy performance packed with the star’s biggest hits — from Proud Mary and Nutbush City Limits to Simply the Best and What’s Love Got to Do With It.
Organisers say the production is designed to recreate the magic of Tina Turner’s iconic live shows, complete with powerful vocals, dynamic choreography and audience interaction.
Justine, who has been performing professionally for more than 30 years, has spent years perfecting her tribute to the global superstar.
“I decided to take the plunge and then spent hours familiarising myself with her life story and scrutinising video footage to watch mannerisms and body movements,” she said.
“My ultimate aim is to remain faithful to a Tina Turner live concert, bringing the best version of this amazing woman to her many fans.”
The show has built a strong following over the past 17 years, earning multiple honours including Best Female Artist, Best Choreography and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Tribute Music Awards.
Audiences can expect a mix of classic hits, favourite covers and a few surprises, with tracks such as River Deep – Mountain High, Private Dancer and When the Heartache is Over alongside rock favourites including Jumping Jack Flash and Honky Tonk Woman.
With its blend of nostalgia, live music and show-stopping performances, the production has been described as “probably the closest thing to a live Tina Turner concert”.
Justine added: “We love what we do, and we’re lucky enough to have an incredibly loyal army of fans. We look forward to meeting many more new fans this year.”
