A care provider near Sleaford recently helped lift the spirits of vulnerable people in the area through a much-loved British tradition.

Compleat Care, of Folkingham, surprised its service users by presenting them with an afternoon tea package.

Dedicated staff prepared hundreds of sandwiches, scones and cakes as part of the treat.

Registered manager Sarah Godwin said: “We wanted to do something to help lift the spirits of our service users, many of whom are generally housebound or shielding because of Covid and the afternoon teas definitely did that.

“We pride ourselves on going the extra mile for our clients. For us care is about so much more than just routine visits and it was great to see how the whole team pulled together, baking scones and buttering sandwiches for hours on end.”
