Take part in coastal community art project

If you’re lucky enough to call the Lincolnshire coast ‘local’, then you could help gather video content for a new community art project

The Dynamic Dunescapes Project is working with local artists, Juneau Project, to create an exciting community animation.

However, they need short video clips to help them create a series of images, or frames, which will make up a film.

Each frame of this film will then be painted by members of the community and turned into an animation.

Ben Sadler and Philip Duckworth from Juneau Projects said: “Unfortunately, we can’t visit any of these locations at the moment, so your videos will help us get a sense of place and inspire the final animation.”

Tish Cookson, Dynamic Dunescapes Engagement Officer, said: “Anyone who is taking their lockdown exercise on the coast and that has a phone or camera can get involved. We need short video clips of the landscape and wildlife of the Lincolnshire coast.

“It could be from one of the nature reserves: Gibraltar Point, the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park or Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes, or from your nearest beach.”

It’s hoped that local residents on the Lincolnshire coast will get involved in the project and during this current lockdown will be able to collect some local video footage.

It could be a favourite view, the sun rising over the sea, gulls feeding in the surf, sanderling scampering along the shoreline, marram grass swaying in the wind or wherever people find inspiration or something that makes them smile in the natural environment of the Lincolnshire coast.
