Take part in Rasen clean up this weekend

To begin to get things ready for the festive season, Market Rasen Town Partnership Group has organised a clear-up event for this Saturday, October 31.

Projects for the morning include litter picking and gutter clearing; weeding and planting at Rhodes Corner; sorting the hanging baskets and painting the phone boxes, litter bin and other street furniture.

Volunteers are being asked to come forward. Meet 10am to 12.30pm at the Market Place auction shed.

Coun Stephen Bunney said: “We want to make the town look good ahead of the festive season.

“Our previous clear-ups have had a good response from volunteers to take part and also many appreciative comments for the work being done. Hopefully, we can keep up this momentum.”
