That is the message from the Market Rasen Town Partnership Covid Support Group as they look to help the town’s economy grow post pandemic.

Last week, group members took to the streets to see what could be done to help improve a number of areas in the town.

The town’s signposts are to be reviewed, to make sure they are up to date, and it is also hoped to be able to create some more seating areas.

The group has been meeting weekly, via Zoom, and during the pandemic has been co-ordinating support efforts, such as food banks, which will continue, and the new uniform bank.

Now thoughts are turning to the long-term recovery of the town.

Mr Bunney said: “We need to have a co-ordinated approach when looking at what can be done to boost the town.

“We need to look at the buildings that are in need of some attention and see how we can work with the owners to make those buildings more attractive.

“We need to help support the businesses - not just in the main shopping area, but also in places like Gallamore Lane.

“We need to look at how to bring visitors to the town and how to give them information about Market Rasen and the local area once they are here.

“There are lots of relatively small things that can make a big difference, but we need to work to bring them all together.”
