Pubs can re-open - but only those with facilities for outdoor service (eg: a beer garden).

While some will open on Monday, others - like the Bull Hotel - are delaying until later in the week.

It’s a similar story for cafes while restaurants without outdoor areas, can only carry on with a takeaway service.

Self catering holiday accommodation can re-start but hotels remain closed until at least next month.

It’s the same throughout  the area and the advice is to check with specific premises before setting out.

In a statement on Facebook, owners Butch and Lesley said: “Over the last 4 months since moving into The Ship, we have been on a fairly turbulent journey.

“We are so happy to say the end is in sight!

“To be honest it has been a tough ride, but this enforced down time has given us the chance to improve our outdoor space, thoroughly clean the inside of the pub and spend some time planning what to do with the pub for the future.

“Being new to Horncastle we have felt so supported by the community from the posts we have shared to the bundles of drinks we have offered the money going to a local charity to the people we have spoken to in the supermarket.

“We would like to thank everyone who has been in touch with us and made us feel so welcome.

“The time is nearly here to open our doors and we really can’t wait for Monday.”
