TikTok creator James, 18, attracts thousands with his positive content
A teenage ‘hero’ from Louth is revelling in his successful role as a content creator on the social media and video platform, TikTok.
James Greenfield, 18, who is also a singer and musician, started a hashtag called #HeroMoment, which encouraged people to share moments of genuine gratitude and positivity.
It has now been used in more than 2,000 posts by TikTok users, creating a small but meaningful online movement.
And his account, Hero0.2, which also shares his travel adventures, has attracted 2,684 followers and 8,786 likes – figures that are growing by the day.
Many of his followers have found that the site is an inspirational antidote to a world that can sometimes be cruel, unkind and overbearing.
James, who went to school at Louth Academy, says: “I share real experiences, everyday moments and uplifting interactions with people and places.
"The aim of the account is to spread encouragement and confidence, especially to those who may be struggling or feel overlooked.
"I treat my followers as friends, rather than just an audience, which has helped to build a genuine and supportive community.”
The content on Hero0.2 focuses on live engagement, music, travel and connecting with people. James believes it has been inspired by his family and the values he grew up with.
“I love my family and I always will,” he says. “I do my best to support my family in any way I can, and my family is the main reason for my TikTok account.”
James lists his hobbies as songwriting, performing, karaoke, collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia, visiting historic sites and eating chicken nuggets!
But for now he has his hands full creating fresh video content for Hero0.2, which focuses on resilience and turning challenges into positives.
He goes on: “I take time to reply to comments, engage in conversations and make people feel seen and appreciated.
"Many followers have told me that this personal approach has lifted their mood, boosted their confidence and helped them feel part of something good.
"This strong sense of connection is a key reason why the account continues to grow naturally.
“By being open, kind, and consistent, Hero0.2 shows that friendliness and authenticity can have a real impact on people’s lives.
“It has become a welcoming and uplifting space, and I’m proud that it continues to inspire self-belief.”
