Traditional sweet shop in Gainsborough is celebrating its 8th birthday

The sweet shop Sweet Tradition in Gainsborough is celebrating its eighth birthday in March.

Based in Marshall’s Yard, the independent traditional sweet shop serves shoppers in Gainsborough and surrounding areas, with classic sweets, bespoke hampers and delicious gift boxes.

Owner Nicola Truesdale began as a sales assistant in the store before taking on the business three years later.

To mark their special birthday, Sweet Tradition recently launched a giveaway, inviting customers to win a sweet hamper of their choice.

Sweet Tradition has also developed a growing customer base and online presence through their social media platforms, receiving bespoke orders and requests from customers.

Nicola Truesdale, owner of Sweet Tradition Gainsborough, said: “We are delighted to celebrate our eighth birthday at Marshall’s Yard.

“It has been brilliant to see the number of regular customers grow and we are always busy with bespoke orders for hampers and during busy periods such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas. We are proud to be a local independent business in Gainsborough and would like to thank all our customers for their support over the years.

“We look forward to seeing what the future has in store and have some exciting things coming up.”
