Update: Teenager dies after collision at Stainton le Vale

Following on from yesterday’s appeal on the fatal collision at Stainton le Vale, police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a grey Mercedes Benz in company with another vehicle.

A spokesman said: “We have received reports that the Mercedes was seen around the areas of Stainton le Vale and Tealby with another car before the collision took place.

“It has been reported that loud music was being played from one or both of these vehicles.

“We are really keen to hear from anyone in these areas or the wider area who may have seen the Mercedes and another car driving around together or heard music playing from these cars.”

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Stainton le Vale which resulted in the death of a 17-year-old.

They received a report of the collision in Caistor Road at around 10.34pm last night, June 3.

The 17-year-old was a backseat passenger in a Mercedes Benz which left the road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes, aged 19, and a male passenger, aged 18, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact us.”
